Trophy Room

Logging a hunt

A Hunt is the container for an outing — a morning, a weekend or a full safari. Everything you record on that trip belongs to it.

To start one, open Trophy Room and add a hunt. Only a title, a type and a start date are needed; the rest is optional and can be filled in later.

Example

A four-day trip to Pringle Bros would normally be one Hunt, with each individually recorded animal added as a Harvest inside it.

Inside a hunt you can add two kinds of record:

Harvest — one individual animal, with its own detail, photos and journal page. Use this for anything you want to remember properly.

Bag entry — a quantity of one species, for days where recording every bird or small animal separately makes no sense.

Both can carry the rifle and load you used, and both can be edited afterwards.

Property and farm names are saved as reusable places, so the second time you hunt somewhere you pick it from the list instead of typing it again. Trophy Room then groups your history by place.

Good to know

Hunts are archived rather than permanently deleted. An archived hunt drops out of your lists but keeps its harvests, bag entries and photos.
