Armoury
The solver needs more than a rifle name, so Pocket PH splits your gear into small pieces that can be mixed and reused.
Firearm — the physical rifle or bow itself.
Setup — how that firearm is configured: optic, muzzle device and sight height.
Load — the ammunition: projectile and muzzle velocity.
Zero — the range you confirmed on the range for a particular setup and load, with any offsets.
Ballistic profile — ties a setup, a load, a projectile and a zero together. This is what the solver actually runs.
Field card — a fixed saved snapshot of one calculated solution.
You may have one .243 rifle, a hunting setup with your usual scope and suppressor, an 80 gr hunting load, and a 100 m zero. Those pieces form the saved ballistic profile the solver uses.
The same rifle with a different scope is a second setup. The same setup with factory ammunition instead of your handload is a second load. Build profiles for the combinations you actually shoot.
Edit a setup, load or zero and future calculations use the new figures. Field cards you already saved keep the numbers they were saved with — they are snapshots, not live views.
